Elise's Bday Party

The Cake, made by my neighbor Julie. We are convinced that her secret ingredient is crack because her cake is all everyone talks about it- cute and so delicious!!!

Someday we will all look at the camera in a picture... Someday!

Opening presents- Mommy enjoyed it more than Elise.

We scaled back on the birthday party this year- very simple with just family and a few close friends. It was all still very overwhelming for Elise, but she had a good time and was worn out.

Elise is Three!!!

Whoo...we survived the terrible twos! Elise Nicole was three on April 13th. We celebrated on her birthday with a trip to Toys-R-US and a visit from Elisa, Nathan, and Elizabeth. Elise had a pink poodle birthday party which was great.

So far three is very fun. We could do without all the drama and temper tantrums, but everything else is great. Elise says the funniest things all the time and she is so observant. Ever since I started wearing my hair curly, she says, "Wow Mom, your hair is so beautiful. You are a princess". She tells stories about "Last Day", which means yesterday or anything that happened before nap. Everything is "precious, adorable, or amazing" and when she sees daffodils she says, "Oh gracious!" in a very high-pitched voice. She tells people that Daddy drinks "Mirrors". Brian and I have to really watch what we say around Elise and have to spell things out now.

She loves Scooby Doo and Bolt. Her favorite songs are Poker Face by Lady Gaga, We're All in This Together by Ben Lee, and Best Days by Matt White. We watch/listen to these over and over!
At her three year checkup she was 28.2 lbs and 37 inches- still a little squirt.

Boonshoft

It is so fun to go to the Boonshoft now that Elise can actually do all of the activities. She wore herself out! Mallory even enjoyed playing, although there isn't a lot for little ones to do.

Elise's First Hair Cut

Elise has wild and crazy hair just like me. I thought she would freak out about getting it cut, so I kept putting it off. I took her with me to the salon and planned on having her watch me get my hair cut and then convince her to do it. I stopped on the way and got her some bribery toys and prepped her about how fun it is to let Brittany cut your hair and have a special salon day with Mommy. When we got there, she was so into it and wanted to have her hair cut first! She just sat in my lap making faces in the mirror and following Brittany's instructions- I was very pleasantly surprised. Everyone at the salon got a kick out of her. Elise told me that she wanted to get purple hair like one of the stylists...maybe next year. It was a fun experience. Not every little girl gets to go to Fiffe Eli Salon for their first haircut!

Easter With Memaw

My mom decided to a nontraditional dinner at Buca Di Beppo. The food was great and the girls had a good time. Elise was in a very goofy mood and Mallory ate for an hour straight! We then went back to my mom's for coffee/dessert and the kids opened their baskets. Notice Aidan in the bottom picture scoping what Elise got!

Easter With Papa and Betah

Papa, Betah, Uncle Mike, and Aunt Stef came over for dinner on Saturday. Elise got lots of candy, some gardening tools, art supplies, and Playdoh in her basket. Mallory got puffs, cereal, and fruit bites. Here are some pics of them opening their baskets, gardening, and playing with Uncle Mike.

Elise and Reilley

Our church had a huge Easter egg hunt at Delco park. It was freezing, but Elise had a blast.

Easter Pics

April has been a very busy month with Elise's birthday and lots of Easter festivities. I am going to try to catch up on some blogging. Here are a few pics of the girls in their little Easter dresses. Elise thought Mallory looked so cute as the Easter Bunny. We aren't sure why she always puts her sister in the choke-hold for pictures!

Pottery Party

Classic Abraham family portrait (Elise not looking, Mal pulling her hair)

We had a great turnout for the Love Bug Party. It was nice to see everyone and all the little people. Elise loved doing handprints, Mal not so much. We can't wait to see our finished products!!!

Ten Months Old

Mallory started walking a couple of weeks ago. I had a feeling that she would be an early walker and sure enough she took a few steps and then just started going like she has done it her whole life! It is very difficult to get a picture because she has gotten so quick. For the first few days Elise would yell, "Oh my gosh Mom, she is walking!" every time she took a step. She finally cut her first tooth this week (hence the drool).

Mallory does a few signs (milk, mommy, daddy); says hi, momma, dada, hey, a da= all done; and gives big sloppy kisses. She is always moving and into everything, especially whatever Elise has.
