Lane 3 Months Old

3 Months Old?! Really, already?!   Baby Lane is trying to commando crawl and is starting to play more with her toys.  She is the most social little thing and just "talks" up a storm.  She loves to make eye contact and coo so intently like she is really trying to say something important.  She is such a good baby and really only cries when she is hungry or tired.  She still sleeps great most nights and finally is better about being in the carseat (thanks to Daddy hanging a toy that has a face- I am convinced she thinks she is talking to a person).  She is a  thumb sucker and will even try to suck her thumb while she nurses!  It is cute now, but won't be so cute when she is 3 like her sister and still doing it.  I can't believe how fast she is growing up!

Reilley got her ears pierced and Elise quickly decided she wanted to get hers done too.  Of course that meant Mal wanted hers done too.  I was very honest with the girls about it being a bit painful, but they still insisted.  Elise freaked out when they pierced hers and I expected Mal to back out.  I told her we would do it when she was older.  She hopped right in the chair and told me that she was going to be brave because she has big muscles from eating her veggies.  She was all smiles and then she freaked out too.  The cutest thing was that Elise was more upset about Mallory than herself.  She hid because she didn't want to see or hear her sister cry.  After lots of drama, they took a train ride and the pain magically went away.  

Bad Hair Day

This is what happens to your hair when you sleep from 7 pm til 7 am!  By the way, this little thing started rolling from belly to back yesterday.  She flips over and then looks around in shock.  I told her she needs to stop growing up so fast!

Tea Party with Memaw 7/11

Afternoon Tea with Memaw has been an annual tradition since Elise was a baby.  We love trying new places, and the older the girls get the more fun it is.  This year we went to a brand new place in Beavercreek called 'Coffee Tea and Thee'.  It was amazing!!!! We had our tea in the princess party room and as you can see, it truly was fit for a princess!  There was one wall filled with princess fairy costumes and the girls had a blast dressing up.  The food was so fresh and everything was homemade and delicious.  Our servers were so friendly and had even printed up little keepsake cards for our "tea tradition".  It was so much fun and I enjoyed bringing Lane for her first tea party!

Big Sisters

Lane absolutely loves her big sisters!  She is always entertained by their endless energy and they love to be mommy's helpers.  They are so cute with her!

Elise was ecstatic that she finally got to feed Lane!  She was so proud of herself and told Brian "I fed Lane a bottle of mommy milk without any adult hands helping me"! Now if we could just get her to change some poopy diapers...:)

Zoo 6/11

Lane 2 Months Old

Lane was 2 months old on June 19th!  She was 22.75 in and 9 lb 15 oz at her checkup (tall and skinny)!  The acne and cradle cap are gone and she has gotten quite the little social personality.  She loves to stare into people's eyes and "talk" and smile.  She makes the cutest little coo sounds and we even get some belly laughs.  She has gotten much more laid back, except for that darn car seat- she still screams the entire time in it.  She has tracheomalacia, so she has stridor when gets excited, eats too fast, or gets really upset- we call her our little squeaker.  She is starting to get on a schedule and takes almost all of her naps in the crib.  She even sleeps good at night most of the time (we broke the rules and she sleeps on her belly)- down for bed at 7/8:00 and up at 3/4:00.  We have an occasional rough night, but it is a huge improvement.  She is still a mommy's girl, but Elise is probably her favorite person in the world!  We just love her to pieces!!!
